Wadi Shab & Bimmah Sinkhole Full-Day Tour
Discover one of Oman’s most breathtaking natural wonders with a full day experience to Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole operated by BOLO TRIP. This journey begins with a comfortable pickup from Muscat or a designated meeting point depending on your selected option. You will travel in an air conditioned vehicle along a scenic route that takes approximately two hours, offering beautiful views of Oman’s rugged landscapes. Along the way, there will be a short stop where you can enjoy traditional Omani tea and experience a touch of local culture.
Upon arrival at Wadi Shab, the adventure begins with a short boat ride across the water followed by an approximately forty minute hike through a stunning canyon. The trail takes you through dramatic rock formations, refreshing natural pools, and peaceful surroundings that showcase the raw beauty of Oman. As you continue deeper into the wadi, you will reach crystal clear turquoise waters that lead toward the hidden cave waterfall, accessible only by swimming. This part of the experience is the highlight for many guests as it combines exploration, swimming, and a sense of discovery inside a natural cave setting. After enjoying time at the waterfall, you will return by retracing the same hiking route back to the starting point. Before heading back to Muscat, the tour also includes a stop at the famous Bimmah Sinkhole, a striking natural depression filled with vibrant blue water that is perfect for photos and relaxation.
Important Note
This tour requires a moderate to good level of physical fitness as it involves approximately eighty minutes of hiking in total along with swimming through open water to reach the cave waterfall. It is not suitable for non swimmers, individuals with mobility challenges, heart conditions, or those uncomfortable with hiking and swimming activities. Guests are advised to bring swimwear, a change of clothes, a towel, appropriate hiking shoes or water shoes, and a waterproof camera if available. Pickup timings are shared in advance and guests are required to be ready at their designated pickup point within the scheduled window. During Ramadan, meal inclusions may not be provided. All personal belongings should be kept safely as BOLO TRIP is not responsible for any lost items during the tour.
What's Included
- This experience includes pickup and drop off service depending on the option selected at booking. Transportation is provided in a comfortable air conditioned vehicle for all applicable options. A short traditional boat ride at Wadi Shab is included as part of the experience. Guests also receive bottled water during the journey where applicable and access to an experienced guide who accompanies and assists throughout the tour. In selected options, lunch is also provided. Entry and guidance through both Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole are included as part of the full experience.
What's Excluded
- Personal expenses and gratuities are not included in the package. Waterproof phone cases, swimming shoes, and life jackets are not provided as standard but may be available as optional add ons during booking. Meals are not included during the month of Ramadan depending on operational adjustments. Any items not specifically mentioned in the included section such as Wi Fi access, additional snacks, or personal hiking and swimming equipment are also excluded from the tour package.
